Dungeons & Qubits: an Adventurer's Tale Beyond the Quantum Computing Tutorials
A downloadable book
Follow a first-person journey from knowing nothing about quantum computing to designing popular algorithms such as Quantum MNIST and collaborating with postdoctoral researchers. You’ll learn about the thought process that goes into quantum algorithm design without the obfuscation of jargon, equations, and linear algebra matrices. The book is written in almost-plain English. Keyword: almost....
Quantum computing is way too interesting for anything written about it to be boring. Therefore, this particular tale, based on a true story, is told in the style of a Dungeons & Dragons adventure. Algorithms are “spells,” gates are “components,” and, well, you get the idea. The intent was that should no one actually read the book, at least I would’ve enjoyed writing it. Fortunately, many people have expressed that they not only read it, but that they even enjoyed reading it.
Therefore, "Dungeons & Qubits" is now, has always been, and always shall be free to download. However, monetized compliments would not hurt my feelings, hence the book's newfound availability on itch.io.
